It's MAC Time!

Hi my beautiful girls, hope you all are well and are having a good weekend?

The weather has been totally gloomy here... Grey skies, rain and it's been very cold! 

I even wore Ripe Peach Blush Ombre and Jazzed lipstick today to brighten the day up, but it didn't work!

I also want to say a BIG thank you too all of you for wishing me on my birthday... The messages all made my day!

One thing blogging has brought me is all of you ♥

I haven't really bought any new MAC cosmetics (or really any make up for that matter) in a while and I want to treat myself and get some!

I have a few things on my list but need some thoughts and recommendations!

Foundation:

I can't decide between Studio Fix Fluid (as I've never tried it, at the moment my skin is normal - dry) or Pro Longwear Foundation!

I think that I should ask the MUA to apply both on either side of my face and then see which I prefer. 

Concealer:

I'm thinking of getting both Select Cover Up for my undereye and Studio Finish Concealer for blemishes.

BUT, I also want to try Pro Longwear Concealer! (I admit, it's because of the hype!)

Blush:

So Sweet, So Easy and Posey cremeblend blush are on my list aswell as Dainty Mineralize Blush.

But, I honestly don't think I should choose (as I want them all) and just gradually get them. 

Bronzer:

Don't have any in mind, but I remember trying Refined Golden but can't remember if I liked it or not?! That might be a sign :)

Also, on my list, Prep & Prime Transparent Finishing Powder; Gotta Dash Sheen Supreme Lipstick; Vegas Volt Lipstick (might steal my sister's though :)); Pink Lemonade Lipglass and Please Me lipstick.

Oh, and Fix + but that's a definite! (As I've run out and miss it terribly!!!!)

If any of you have tried any of the products mentioned, please give me your honest opinions!

Also, if you have done a review on any of these, leave the link because I will definitely be checking that out!

If there's something from MAC that you own that you LOVE and it's not on my list, please let me know... Your recommendations are very helpful! (My ever growing list might disagree though)

Oh yes, recommend a nice red lippie from MAC aswell, I've been wearing a red lipstick (Lancome one from my Aunt) this past weekend and I think I now want one! (OOTD post with that should be up later or tomorrow, I still need to resize the pictures and might edit them abit.)

Even though, I'm not good at applying make up, it's definitely my fun thing... My little obsession. Recently all I've been doing to is buying clothes and my make up definitely feel neglected. LOL
Talking like a crazy person ^_^

I'm thinking of only getting a few things now and some a bit later... Maybe 3 or so. 

All depends on your likes and dislikes!

Love this Military style green jacket... It's perfect for any weather, any outfit and it's effortless!

I went for neutrals... My favourite colours! 

Paired it with skinny cargo pants, loose top, waist belt and my 1st pair of heels I bought at Aldo a couple of years ago... They are a bit worse for wear now but I still they look good.

I also LOVE how high they are! ALDO always seem to bring this pair out every year in different finishes and styles because it's such a classic!

I wore a patent beige colour on my wedding day... Exact same style but just in a glossy patent finish.

MAC Candy Yum Yum Lipstick

Hello dolls, enjoying your weekend?

A few weeks ago when I posted about my BACK2MAC I mentioned that I initially wanted to pick up MAC's Candy Yum Yum lipstick from the Quite Cute Collection but it was sold out (At all stores in Cape Town)

 Immediately after getting home I sent my cousin who stays in another city, Durban, a message on twitter to ask her if she would check if the MAC store there had it in stock.

And Guess What... She was able to get the last one for me! insert happy dance here!

She posted it the Monday and I got it in the week. I apologise for only posting about it now, but everytime I put it on (even if it was just in the house) I wasn't happy with my make up. 
This afternoon (well, it's evening now) I decided to play around and use Candy Yum Yum lipstick.

Anyway, onto Candy Yum Yum...

It is a BRIGHT pink lipstick! A shocking, neon pink! Definitely NOT for the faint hearted... With that being said, you might wonder why I did want it? (I'm the faint hearted when it comes to make up) As you know, I recently just started wearing a brighter lip and am just getting into it!

Well, the minute I saw it in store and swatched it, I fell in love with it! It's such a pretty colour!
After I asked the MUA to find out which stores had it and they ALL were sold out... I felt like I had to have it! (Talk about, dramatic!)

Much to my delight, my beautiful cousin Zara was able to get it for me! She went out of her way and I really appreciate it!

I have not ventured out in this as yet as I haven't really got the guts TBH! LOL!! It's such a beauty and I really want to but, am still plucking up the courage to do it.

Also featuring my new animal print maxi skirt... Can you believe when I first saw this, I picked it up and put it down, wandered around the store and picked the skirt up again but this time ran to pay!

I was so excited... I have always loved animal print but struggle to actually find things with this print :(

Leather Love: Leather Jacket & Maxi Dress

 This is the outfit I wore on Sunday... Wanted to post it on Sunday night but I add blogger issues, which most of you are aware of. 

Hubs and I just went to pick up lunch and I bought some pretty mugs, more on that in another post.

This leather jacket has to be my favourite piece of clothing in my wardrobe at the moment. Can you believe its about 2 years old? Looks brand new IMO!

I have had a love/hate relationship with it. When I first bought it, I loved it but hardly wore it. Last year I hated it and wore it maybe twice. 

This year however, I love it! I plan to get more wear out of it this Winter, I love the edgy feeling it gives off! It's a biker style leather jacket but I think is classic and I should get many more years out of it!

Also featuring my beaut of a watch Hubs bought me. It's a anniversary and birthday gift all in one. Our 1st anniversary was on the 9th of May and my birthday is on the 25th. 
This is the first time I'm wearing it... Am very clumsy and constantly knocking myself into walls, chairs etc (I'm usually full of bruises) and I'm afraid I'll scratch it or worse, break it!


Speaking about my birthday... I will be the BIG 25 on the 25th of May! Very scary thought... I'm getting old!

Things to make me feel better: A lovely lady commented on my 9th May 2010 post saying she can't believe I'm married, because I look so young! :)
AND The lovely LaaLaa Monroe also tweeted me (Follow Me)  last night saying that I look much younger... Not 25, more like 18/19! 

Love me some compliments :) :)
That is no way my way of hinting that I'm looking for compliments :P

It's MAC Viva Glam Cyndi Lipstick (which is LE, if I'm not mistaken) and Sleek's Pout Polish in Electro Peach. 
These two were meant to be together, they are perfect for each other!
Electro Peach adds gloss, fullness and give's me total kissable lips! 
Oh yes, despite what the name suggests, I think Electro Peach is more a sheer red, not really Peachy... I'm not complaining though, I can't get enough of it :)
Together, a very pretty wearable everyday red shade!

09 May 2010 was the day my life started... The day my life began, the day I married the man of my dreams.

Winter Inspiration

 I bet none of you are interested in my Winter Inspiration as most of you are enjoying lovely warm Spring/Summer days and here I'm dreaming of my favourite season... Winter!

I have been lusting after chunky knits, faux fur, suede ankle wedge boots, layering, army jackets, maxi skirts, pleated skirts, hats, oversized clutch bags, leather jackets... A girl can dream right?!
