Essence is one of my favourite make up brands, affordable but actually not bad quality. I'm a MAC girl through and through don't get wrong and my MAC lipstick collection is out of control but sometimes the thrill of a new lipstick at a cheap price is exhilarating. Especially when it turns out to be a really great colour. Fellow make up lovers will know exactly what I mean.
Today's review is about Essence's All About Cupcake Lipstick. Side note, what a cute name! It is a pretty and wearable pink shade. Very natural looking which I always struggle to find with pink lipsticks. The lipstick part is a bit of a stretch as the texture is not thick and reminds me of Revlon Lip Butters in a sense as it's quite sheer on first coat but can be built up by applying another.
The lipstick is creamy and moisturising, but with one downfall, it doesn't last long on my lips, but for the cheap price I don't having to reapply. It has slight shine, as you can see in the photo of me wearing it below. I like that the colour of the tube reflects the colour of the lipstick, helps to spot in my handbag.
This pretty pink shade has become my go to, throw in my handbag and run out the door lippie. It literally suits any make up look! My lips are quite pigmented and the colour shows off beautifully. Lucky loves! ;)
I will have another review of a Essence lipstick up soon.
I bought this at Clicks for R32,95. Told ya it was cheap!
