Motherhood Monday

5/12/2014 11:07:00 AM

Yesterday was my 2nd Mother's Day. Last year, Maahir was nearly 2 months and I had that "I'm a Mommy" glow all over my face (with heavy bags under my eyes.)
This year, my big boy is nearly 14 months old and I couldn't be happier to be his Mommy, or Mum Mum Mum, as he calls me.
My first year as a Mom has taught me so many things. The most important one being to appreciate every little thing. Maahir is very inquisitive and is amazed at almost anything and everything. He finds joy in switching lights on and off, in fact, he lights up the whole room, both literally and figuratively, when he manages to push the light switch on. He loves being outdoors, looking at ants, looking for spiders, sitting on the grass. He hears almost everything and we constantly have to run outside when he hears an aeroplane fly past us, he looks up and points and starts waving. It is adorable and never gets old.
I hope he never loses his fascination with the world around him. He has taught my Husband and I to be more patient and to enjoy every single moment. He has such a personality on him, we are constantly laughing and smiling.
I love being a Mom, not all days/nights are not easy but 100% of the time, I love this little boy so much and the joy he puts on my face and love in heart can't compare to anything else in this world. He is spoilt rotten by everyone and I'm soon going to regret this, but his adorable face can get away with anything.
Hoping to make Motherhood Monday a regular thing, if your just here for the fashion/ootd's, there will be a new outfit post up tomorrow. ;)

  1. Such a heart warming post. I've enjoyed watching Maahir grow up via social media. He is too cute and you've done an amazing job in showing us future and present moms that you can be super stylish and a super Mom at the same time. Hope you had a lovely Mother's Day.

  2. Lovely post Lucky, I feel like I really got to know you and you're little bear. He sounds like such a sweetheart! I don't doubt when you say that you can't not spoil him - look at that little cutie face, how can anyone resist?! One's things for sure Lucky, he looks identical to you ... good genes run in your family MA! <3

Happy Mother's Day, Lucky! I'm not a mummy yet, but I just would like to say that what you do for your little guy is simply amazing. Mother's are such an important part of our lives, I can't imagine life without mine. Nothing compares to the sacrifices you mummy's make for your little ones - even if that mean choosing to spend your time playing instead of doing your hair and make up, etc... so THANK YOU (I'm sure Maahir is saying that too!).

I can't wait for your future Mommy Monday posts!

  3. Happy belated Mother's Day! What you said about how fascinated he is with everything around him, I always find that so inspiring because we often lose sight of how beautiful life is. Don't you just want to bottle that enthusiasm and carry it with you 24/7? Xx
