Trend Tuesdays: Military Jacket with Leather Sleeves

Even though Winter hasn't officially arrived in Cape Town, (think Sunny warm days) that doesn't mean I can't look forward to the colder days and more importantly winter fashion! I love winter... Bundling up in layers, cosy knits and boots, and lets not forget hot chocolate and warm desserts. Yum!

One piece I can't wait to wear is my military jacket with leather sleeves. Found the perfect one (above) from Woolworths and when the weather decides its ready for the cold, I'll be wearing this bad boy!

As seen on one of my style icons Olivia Palermo, this will be great addition to your winter wardrobe. I adore how she paired it with feminine pieces, which is how I'll be wearing it. Think a pretty blouse, or a dress. Love the mix of edgy with feminine!
But you'll see how I style it when I get to wear it. 

Apologies for the lack of blog posts, I contradicted myself by saying I'd be back and then I wasn't. Shame on me! I've been a bit sick (damn flu!) and am so busy with Baby during the day that there's hardly time for anything. If you could see me right now, you wouldn't want any outfit or make up posts though. I look a mess!

Sneaker wedges were my obsession while I was pregnant, well besides my excessive googling on how to get rid of heartburn! I desperately wanted a pair after seeing it on my favourite blogger Sincerely, Jules. She is the ultimate mix master, the way she mixes prints and feminine with sporty amazes each time. Her style is just amazing, she's definitely a big inspiration!
Alas, SA was behind as always and the pairs I saw were never quite what I wanted. I bought two black pairs from two different stores but returned them as I wasn't quite happy. Now they are everywhere you look and will be huge for A/W. I ordered a cream pair from an online store and I'll show you those when I get them.
You either love them or hate them, I love em!

Another huge trend this A/W is sportswear. And I'm loving the awesome sweaters in stores right now... Especially Mr Price! Have seen some great one's online. Immediately fell in love with this one. I love the feminine touch of rhinestones to a otherwise masculine shape. Paired with my favourite maxi skirt (which I need to replace desperately!) and cool sneaker wedges.

Lucky Loves is Back!

Lucky Loves is finally back in business... And by business I mean blogging! With a sleek new look. I love the look of clean and simple blogs and decided it was time for a change. While I love me some gold glitter, black and white is classic and there's nothing better than classic. 

Problem was, I was never satisfied, did about a hundred (okay maybe 5) different designs but finally I'm happy with this and I hope you are too!

My blog took a backseat while I was pregnant but I missed it. Much to the delight of a select few of you, outfit and beauty posts will resume, with a few Baby ones in between. I am a Momma after all! ;)

Thank you to those who have supported me, continued to read my blog and have been here since the beginning... This little blog means the world to me.

A few of my latest instagram snaps... My little boy is all I take photo's of these days, who can blame me, he's the cutest! Babies grow up so fast that I need proof of his tiny little self! Oh if you're wondering about the pictures of me, well weekends are "dress up" and do my hair & make up days... In the week Baby doesn't mind me in sweat pants and a top knot. ;)
